Jaguar unveils 205-mph electric C-X75 supercar concept

Besides its startling looks, it's an extended-range electric. The two-seat supercar has some impressive capability. It has electric motors with power equal to 778 horsepower, with a backup micro gas-turbine powerplant. It can go 68 miles between recharges and has a potential top speed of 205 miles per hour on electric power alone.

Then there is a look. Jaguar says it hints at the brand's future design direction.

"By making it an innovative test-bed for the technologies of tomorrow, it also ensures that our reputation for engineering excellence will continue for another 75 years and beyond," says Mike O'Driscoll, managing director of Jaguar Cars.
