Aircraft Electronic Security System
The System 500 is Securaplane’s premier security
system, elected by the majority of our customers.
Featuring convenient remote
control and interrogation
using a subminiature UHF
transceiver, in conjunction
with the DAI-08
Keyless Entry Arm/Disarm
Technology.

System 500
Securaplane System 500
• Reliable
Achieved through years of avionics design, sensor
innovation, system redundancy, and severe environmental
testing.
• Field Proven
Over 500 systems installed since 1989, on aircraft
ranging from B-747-400’s through turboprops. References
available.
• Remote Operation
The System 500 can be controlled from up to 10 miles
(16 km) away using handheld UHF Transceiver, with clear
digitized voice responses from the aircraft. (Actual range
depends upon terrain and line of sight.) Features “secure”
anti-tampering technology. Only 3 commands required
via the handheld UHF Transceiver to Arm, Disarm or
Interrogate the system.
• Simple Operation
The System 500 is simple to Arm, Disarm, and Interrogate
using the Control Display Unit (CDU-550), typically
mounted in the cabin. It features easy to use functions,
displaying information on a 4-line, plain English LCD.
The CDU permanently stores over 1600 events, including
arm/disarm times and intrusion times, locations and
duration. Soft menu keys allow for easy and intuitive use.
The system can also be controlled using the Digital Alarm
Indicator (DAI-08), a subminiature remote control panel
which mounts inside an external door. Each operation is
clearly indicated in plain English on the bright, 10-character
scrolling LED display. This unit allows for keyless arming
and disarming.
It takes only minutes to learn to operate the System 500.
• Superior Sensors
Wheelwell Protection
Custom designed, environmentally tested (DO-160C)
passive infrared sensors with temperature compensation
detect any human intrusion in wheelwells. This sensor
revolutionized the science of reliable aircraft intrusion
detection.
Door Panel Sensors
Featuring the unique ruggedized all-metal magnetic reed
switch (MAG-01). Securaplane's flexible systems can use
a variety of sensor types, such as microswitches and our
preferred MAG-01.
• Installation Ease
Acclaimed by installers to be the easiest and least time
consuming system to install and troubleshoot.
• Battery Endurance
The standard 500 system using the BP-550 Power
Communications Unit (PCU) will run 5-7 days. An optional
BP-650 will provide 7-10 days. A BP-1224 ADD-ON battery
pack will double the BP-650 run time.
• Most Commonly Selected Options:
- Cameras: Securaplane's Airborne Video Camera
system provides a second level of intrusion
monitoring for the surveillence of internal
and/or external areas of the aircraft. (BP-1224
Auxiliary Battery Pack recommended for systems
with video cameras installed)
- VRU-01: 104dBm audible, operator programmable,
voice alarm.
- SP-02: Solar panel extends battery life.
- CPM-TZ: PIR (wheelwell sensor) alignment tool.
