Concept and Background of the Event

The concept is based on establishing South Africa's top celebrity golfer in an environment which replicates a US PGA Tour event. After a nine year period, the event has proven to be very popular, establishing itself as the premier celebrity golf event in the country. The event comprises an invitational field of top government officials, high profile corporate executives and legendary South African sportsmen competing alongside one another. Importantly, the makeup of the field reflects the various cultures of our country.
The event takes place from the Friday through Sunday afternoon. Arrivals start early Friday morning culminating in the official opening gala on Friday evening. The tournament is played over Saturday and Sunday with cumulative scores being collated to determine the winners.

Promoter

The event is promoted by Kevin Curren, former Wimbledon finalist. Kevin has a wealth of experience in the promotion of high profile sporting events.
